Nickel Creek (album) - Nickel Creek (2000) is a self-titled album by the acoustic/"Newgrass" trio known as Nickel Creek. Although the group had released two albums prior to this, they are not produced anymore and the band's style was redefined before the realease of Nickel Creek; therefore this album is considered their debut album. Nickel Creek - Nickel Creek is an American acoustic trio with roots in bluegrass. The band is comprised of three permanent members: Chris Thile (mandolin), Sara Watkins (violin), and her brother Sean Watkins (guitar). Mutual Admiration Society (group) - Mutual Admiration Society is a musical collaboration between singer/songwriter Glen Phillips and progressive bluegrass trio Nickel Creek. Nickel Creek were fans of Glen's band Toad the Wet Sprocket and a chance encounter with a friend of Glen's backstage at a festival led to Nickel Creek guitarist Sean Watkins emailing Glen and Glen agreeing to sing the title song on Sean's debut solo album Let it Fall. Sean Watkins - Sean Watkins (born February 18 1977) is a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter, and is one third of the contemporary folk band Nickel Creek. His sister Sara Watkins, also a member of Nickel Creek, plays violin and sings background vocals on the second of his two solo albums.
